Who writes our content

Every guide, tool description and calculator explanation on this site is written and maintained by the small team that builds the tools themselves. Each calculator page documents the formula it uses so you can verify the result independently.

How we verify

Calculator output is checked against published reference formulas and worked examples before a tool goes live. File tools are tested against real documents in current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

Corrections

If you find an inaccurate figure, a broken tool or a misleading explanation, tell us through the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected and, where a result was materially wrong, we note the change on the affected page.

Advertising and independence

This site is free and funded by advertising. Ads are clearly distinguishable from content, are never presented as editorial recommendations, and advertisers have no influence over which tools we build or what our guides say.

We do not accept payment for favourable coverage. Where a link earns us a commission, that is disclosed on the page it appears on.

No AI-generated filler

Pages exist to explain a tool that actually works on this site. We do not publish keyword pages with no functioning tool behind them, and we remove content that no longer serves a purpose instead of leaving it to rot.
